4C-FUTURE METHODOLOGY: Comprehensive methodology for teaching and development of 4Cs in school education using gamification and experiential learning
This document presents the comprehensive 4C-FUTURE Methodology, the project's core output for developing critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration (the "4Cs") in students aged 13–17. Grounded in experiential learning, gamification, and game-based learning, the methodology provides educators with a complete, classroom-ready framework structured across five steps: foundational theory of the 4Cs, practical teaching strategies and facilitation tools, ready-to-use classroom activities, a game creation toolkit, and assessment rubrics. Digital and media literacy is integrated throughout as a cross-cutting competence. The document includes guidance for both age groups (13–15 and 15–17), activity templates, game design frameworks covering role-play, LARP, board games, simulations, and escape rooms, as well as self-assessment tools for students and teachers. Developed by project consortium of the partner organisations.

4C Future WP2 Common report
The 4C-FUTURE Common Report provides an overview of the current challenges and opportunities in developing 21st-century competencies—Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, and Critical Thinking (the 4Cs)—in secondary education across partner countries. Based on national research, teacher surveys, and stakeholder consultations, the report identifies gaps in teaching practices, teacher training, and student engagement, and highlights the need for more experiential and gamified approaches in the classroom. This foundational report serves as the starting point for the project’s next steps. It offers valuable insights that guide the creation of an innovative methodology, training content for teachers, and game-based educational tools. It also reflects a shared European perspective on how to strengthen student competencies while supporting media and information literacy as a cross-cutting theme.
